BROCK INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT

SCHOOL HEALTH ADVISORY COMMITTEE

OUR PURPOSE

The committee has been established to provide assistance to the Texas Board of Health and the Texas Department of Health in establishing a leadership role in support for and delivery of school health services.

This committee welcomes representation from all aspects of the community, which includes parents, students, teachers, administration, school board members, church, and medical professionals.

SHAC strives to meet the needs of the community.  It will solicit input from professionals and lay persons from the community that guide in decisions affecting the school health program.  It is important to emphasize that the council formed will provide advice and recommendations, but does not become part of the administrative structure of the school.
