We only have 25 more days of school left. We began the 6th six weeks on Monday. Spring is flying by and we have many events packed into the next 27 days!
**Please don’t forget due to TEA changing the TAKS testing dates, we had to make changes to our school calendar. Some of you may still have the old calendar that shows April 28 as a student holiday. That date has been changed to May 5. May 5 is now a student holiday and we will attend school on April 28.

Test Taking Tips:
It is very important that your child do well. Following the tips below will help your child approach the test in a calm, rested, stress free manner:
1. Please ensure that they get a good night’s sleep.
2. Please make sure your child is here on time.
3. It is also important that your child eat a healthy breakfast. Our cafeteria will be providing breakfast pizza for our students. If your child does not like breakfast pizza, they will need to get here early enough to eat breakfast in the cafeteria or they will need to eat at home. Remember, eating sugary items is not a good idea.
4. Give them a BIG hug, wish them well and let them KNOW that you know they will do well!

LAST DAY of SCHOOL
**Reminders from the Brock Elementary Staff:
Parents,
Even though we are in the last six weeks of school, learning is still taking place and we need to keep the classroom interruptions to a minimum. If you need to get a message to your child or if you need to get an item to your child, please let the office staff handle it. In many cases it is difficult to get back on track after an interruption.
Also we ask that you do not drop off elementary students in the teacher parking lot next to the tennis courts. You are putting your child’s life in danger. Children who are dropped off in this area tend to dart out in front of the Middle School traffic. Lately, we have had some close calls with students running through the parking lot as cars are pulling in and parking or pulling through the drive. Safety First!
We thank you and greatly appreciate your dedication to our students,
Brock Elementary Staff
