We Care For Kids Network, Inc. is currently registering students for their annual College Tours.  They have four tour packages available which students will be able to choose from based on their specific collegiate preference.  Each tour will cover a distinct geographical area in the US and will include airfare (if applicable), transportation, lodging, meals, students led campus tours, meetings with admission officers, materials for evaluating schools and activities.  Apply by printing off the application on www.wecareforkidsnetwork.org

FAMILIES OVERESTIMATE COLLEGE COSTS
Citing a new report that shows parents and students generally overestimate college tuition costs by thousands of dollars, Secretary Paige recently announced a new website to help students and families plan and prepare for college. Students can search colleges by college type, location, size, cost, campus life, or academics, or they use the Financial Aid Wizard to plan the financial aid they'll need. http://www.ed.gov/news/pressreleases/2003/10/10012003a.html

SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE FROM RECORDINGS FOR THE BLIND AND DYSLEXIC, APPLICATION DEADLINE: MARCH 1, 2005
Each year, RFB&D sponsors two awards competitions for outstanding students with print disabilities. The Mary P. Oenslager Scholastic Achievement Awards are given to nine blind or visually impaired seniors at four-year
US colleges or universities. The Marion Huber Learning Through Listening Awards are the first national awards exclusively for high school seniors with learning disabilities. Information on both awards can be found on RFB&D's website at http://www.rfbd.org/applications_awards.htm

ELA SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION NOW ONLINE, APPLICATION DEADLINE: JUNE 1, 2005
The Ethel Louise Armstrong Foundation, Inc. (ELA) announces that the 2005 ELA Scholarship application is now available online. ELA Scholarships are available to women with physical disabilities who are enrolled in a graduate program in a college or university in the United States. 2004-2005 ANNE FORD SCHOLARSHIP
The National Center for Learning Disabilities seeks applicants for the Anne Ford Scholarship, a $10,000 award given annually to an exceptional high school senior with an identified learning disability (LD). The ideal candidate has faced the challenges of having a learning disability, understands how LD affects his/her life, recognizes the importance of self-advocacy and can act as a role model to others who struggle with LD. HISPANIC SCHOLARSHIP FUND
The Hispanic Scholarship Program is available to college undergraduate and graduate students of Hispanic heritage. Awards range from $1,000 to $2,500. Eligible applicants must be: a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident; an undergraduate or graduate student enrolled full-time in a degree seeking program at an accredited U.S. college or university in the U.S., Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands; have earned at least 12 undergraduate units; have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0; and have applied for federal financial aid. ED ROBERTS POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIPS APPLICATIONS
Applications are being accepted for this postdoctoral program funded by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research. The goal of this program is to train postdoctoral and professional scholars, in any discipline, to be leaders in disability studies and rehabilitation research and mentorship.
